Star swimmer Amelia Wilson dazzled with four gold medals at an under 13’s gala in Wrexham, earlier this month.
The St Martin’s pupil was part of a team from City of Chester Swimming Club, who returned from the Cath Ankers Meet with bulging haul of medals.
And the hours of training paid off for the whole team, with every swimmer scooping at least two personal best times.
Assistant Head Coach Nick O’Boylan said: “For some of our swimmers it was their competitive debut, and they showed great promise for the future.
“It was great to see them reap the rewards for a lot of hard work in training, and the future looks bright for the club.”
Ruby Howell bagged a bronze medal hat-trick, while Jack Lewis and Nancy Docking-Smith scooped a bronze apiece – Nancy added a ‘speeding ticket’ for good measure.
Meanwhile, City of Chester duo Frankie Docking-Smith and Connor Home have qualified to take part in national championships this summer at under 14 and U16 level respectively.
Frankie has qualified as one of the fastest 25 children in the country for the British Nationals in the 50 and 100 free and also one of the top 25 in England in 50 and 100 butterfly.
City of Chester offer coaching for children and adults of all abilities, as well as competitive swimming and water polo.
