Romans and samba – all in one week at Oak View Academy!

What a busy first week back at Oak View Academy.

This week has been equality and diversity week across Oak View Academy, Winsford, and Sycamore Class have also visited the Middlewich Museum to explore the topic of Romans.

At the museum, the children had the opportunity to explore what Roman life would have been like in Middlewich. They got to look at recent excavations of pottery and dress up as Roman soldiers, emperors and ordinary townsfolk.

Willow Class enjoyed a visit from a samba man, who explained how to use the different instruments and then led the class in creating a piece together – very loud and very fun!

The children were also visited by a very talented artist, who worked with them to create a fantastic design using wax
