Oak View Academy
We welcomed Oak View Academy into the trust in April 2014. Since joining our family of schools, Oak View has undergone a dramatic transformation. Formerly Greenfields Primary School, it was statistically the second worst school in the country in terms of attainment and progress.
The latest government progress measures, released in September 2016, reveal that Oak View’s children are now amongst the top 5% in the country for reading progress and top 30% in writing and maths.
In 2017, Oak View received an Ofsted rating of ‘good’, with high praise for the impressive progress made.
Oak View’s transformation has involved governors and senior members of staff reviewing the quality of student learning by year, class and group, to provide teaching which enables students to achieve the best results possible. Performance at the school is targeted at an individual student level, enabling staff to provide tailored support to each pupil at the top and bottom of the ability spectrum, and ensure that every pupil reaches their potential.
Oak View works in partnership with the Timpson Foundation, the local music service, specialist foreign language provision and UK Military school, to offer children a varied and exciting enrichment programme.
