Delamere C of E Academy

In 2007 Delamere Cof E Primary School was a local authority school, listed for closure, and saw its numbers drop to 42.

Two years later, whilst remaining under the threat of closure, Delamere gained an ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted, and pupil numbers began to rise.

In April 2011, Delamere became the first primary academy converter in Cheshire and the school’s transformation has been remarkable.

Delamere is now a thriving one-form entry school and has been successful in gaining over £1.5 million funding to completely renovate and build a state-of- the art learning environment for the children who attend.
