Ellesmere pupils learn valuable life lessons in Snowdonia National Park

Children from Ellesmere Primary School went on a week’s residential to Arthog in the Snowdonia National Park, in November. The Year 6 pupils experienced first-hand the weather extremes of the Welsh peaks, but were praised for not complaining about the wet conditions.

They have taken the skills they learned back in the classroom and are striving to be resilient learners, who care and encourage one another. The children have discussed how they feel ‘safe’ because they can trust classmates to help with learning and show empathy when there is a barrier to overcome.
