On Thursday 20th October, Year 1 visited Cardingmill Valley. The children explored the different habitats in the valley to support their science topic work.
They took part in a number of activities which included pond dipping and looking at the animals they found in the lab under a microscope. Pupils also enjoyed a bug hunt to find out which bugs liked to live under ground and on the top of the ground. Whilst looking at the animals they considered if they were a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore.
