North West Academies Trust (NWAT) was established in 2011 to open Chester’s first free school, with the aim of providing world-class education within the academy and free-school sector. We currently have ten primary and secondary schools across Cheshire and Shropshire and one primary school in pre-opening in Ellesmere Port.

Our experience in running very different schools and understanding the demands placed on the Trust, as an organisation, is highly beneficial in managing all aspects of new school set-ups and academy conversions.

Whilst this broad experience within education is at the heart of NWAT, we also provide each school with access to a team skilled in school-to-school support, finance and accounting services, HR, Legal services, Safeguarding, and Marketing and Communications. This allows us to deliver practical and effective support and solutions to all of our schools.


The central team need expertise and skills of a Trust PA. We can guarantee you that two days will never be the same and you will be expected to wear many hats whilst supporting the CEO plus the Finance, Safeguarding, HR and Marketing functions.

The ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, thrive on organising and being part of a team of busy individuals, ensuring they are on task and have the ability to manage the different tasks that make up their roles. You will enjoy working on your own initiative with the overriding aim of seamlessly making everyone’s working day more efficient. Additionally, to the diary management of the central team, the organisation of the central office will also be your responsibility, yours to take ownership of and run. You will need to manage expectations, think on your feet, not get phased and deliver the highest level of professionalism and deal with any issues efficiently, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times. 

The schools with the Trust are our customers, this role is pivotal in supporting the central team to deliver the highest level of customer experience and service to our customers at all times.
